What we collect, and what stays with you

v1 is a public website plus a score that runs in your browser. We would rather say exactly that than promise a vault we have not built.

The readiness score stays in the browser

The twelve questions, your answers, and the generated letter are processed on your device. They are saved only in this browser’s session storage so you can go back a page. Close the tab, or start over, and they are gone from this site.

We do not receive those answers when you click through the score. If you copy the letter and paste it into an email to us, then we have what you sent, in ordinary email.

We will not say “we never store data.” That sentence would be false the moment you email us, and it would be false once accounts exist.

What this public site does store

Like any website, the host can see ordinary server logs (for example, the page requested, a rough location from an IP address, and a browser type). v1 does not set marketing cookies and does not include an advertising pixel.

If you write [email protected] or [email protected], we keep the email so we can answer you.

No account in v1

There is no login. There is no password to forget. There is no customer database behind this site tonight.

What we plan to add later

When a PortaEstate account exists, the plan is:

  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Encryption at rest for stored binder data.
  • A Proton Drive export so you can keep a copy you control.
  • A way for you to delete your account and the data we hold.

Those controls are not live on this site. Do not treat a future plan as a present promise.

What never to type here

  • Passwords or password-manager master keys.
  • Cryptocurrency seed phrases or private keys.
  • Full Social Security numbers.
  • Bank or investment account numbers.

Tell a later interview where the list lives. Do not type the secret itself.

Children

This site is for adults planning for a family. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not enter a child’s full medical record. A first name and the words your family uses are enough for the score.
